2012 Honda Pilot Gets A Refresh

July 25, 2011

The changes to the 2012 Honda Pilot aren’t radical, but they will likely score a hit with families and consumers who are fans of the mid-size SUV.

For 2012, the eight-passenger SUV sports a new three-bar horizontal front grille, some new paint colors and wheel design – along with “significant” interior upgrades.

The three-row crossover is expected to make important fuel economy gains with the 2012 model, thanks largely to a “more fuel efficient engine” and the replacement of last year’s five-speed automatic transmission with a six-speed. In addition, changes to the new Pilot’s interior should include upgraded navigation and audio systems.

Honda says the fourth-generation Pilot will go on sale in the U.S. by the end of the year.
