Honda is set to launch the new 2012 CR-V later this year. Earlier this morning it previewed the new CR-V with an image of a concept. While this concept may look a little too aggressive to be the new CR-V, strip away the large wheels, dark window tint and fender flares, and you have a good look at Honda's updated small crossover.

The new CR-V will continue to come in both front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive, and will be powered by a 2.4-liter four-cylinder. The biggest news regarding powertrain will be the six-speed automatic which may replace the old five-speed unit in the current CR-V. But will evolutionary sheet metal and slight powertrain upgrades be enough?

Today we ask you, will the 2012 Honda CR-V be best-in-class? Tweet us your response and make sure to include the hashtag #HondaLeads -- and you'll join the chorus right here via CoverItLive.
