The road is filled with bad drivers. But is it the fault of the people behind the wheel, or is it really a lack of proper training?
Getting a driver's license has become a simple affair -- too simple, we think. There's a mandatory driver-education class, some behind-the-wheel time, and some supervised driving with an adult and/or a driving instructor. And that's it. Once you've met those requirements, in most states you can walk into the DMV and pass an easy written test to get a license.
This system hasn't changed, but driver distractions have changed the game. We think it's time the system changed to give newbies more training, more education, and more real-world experience--but do you?
So today we ask you, should the driver's license be harder to acquire? Tweet us your response and make sure to include the hashtag #DriversEd -- and you'll join the chorus right here via CoverItLive.
