Today we ask which TV car show is your favorite. The variety of shows on TV that are automotive related in some nature is mind boggling. From automotive repo shows and Overhaulin', to Top Gear and MotorWeek, there's something for everyone.
Many car enthusiasts will tell you that Top Gear is the car show to watch. This past year the History Channel premiered Top Gear USA, which many Top Gear junkies immediately criticized online. Many felt it was too scripted and lacked some of the personality that the original Top Gear features. What many forget is that Top Gear is now in its 17th season, and it wasn't the amazing show it is now from day one.
Then you have shows like MotorWeek, which are very consumer oriented. You wont find many Top Gear junkies tuning into MotorWeek each week. But that's fine, as each show has a vastly different target demographic.
Now we have a new automotive TV show coming in just a few weeks, The Car Show. Hosted by Adam Carolla, Dan Neil, and Matt Farah, many are hoping this will instantly be what Top Gear USA could have been from day one. Can it succeed or will it break enthusiasts' hearts? We wont have the answer to that question until July 13.
In the meantime, we ask you, what's the best automotive TV show? Tweet us your response and make sure to include the hashtag #CarShow-- and you'll join the chorus right here via CoverItLive.
