There are days when you have to wonder if the universe is run by a drunken frat boy with a sense of humor. Case in point: the latest Britney Spears video that pimps the 2012 VW Beetle.
Let us not digress by going into the sordid career of this once-great superstar. That is what TMZ and MTV are for. We’re here to ask the question of why the VW of America marketing department insists on having the brand new, totally refurbished 2012 Beetle placed in the former sex symbol’s newest video? The Beetle isn’t supposed to be a chick car anymore.
What will Britney do for the brand? Maybe the idea is to associate the Beetle with lust, sexiness, and maybe even sin and rebellion. In that case, Britney fits the bill.
In the first 60 seconds or so, she drops the F-bomb and answers some hysterical questions from the reporters. We'll let you take it from there.
