On June 3, 2011, Volvo issued a recall on upwards of 448 of its 2012 S60. Volvo issued this recall due to an issue in the vehicle’s fuel delivery system.
The recall documentation states that 2012 S60s manufactured from January 2011 to January 28, 2011 are affected. The issue is that Volvo manufactured the male portion of a quick connector in a fuel line out of specification and it may cause excessive force on its female end.
The end result could be the complete detachment of the lines and stalling of the S60’s engine. This stalling may catch the driver by surprise and result in an accident.
Volvo is rectifying this issue by replacing the fuel line on any affected 2012 S60s free of charge. Concern S60 owners can reach Volvo at 1-201-768-7300 for additional details.
