SocialCarNews comments

You've asked for better comments here on the home of automotive social media, and--well, here you go.

Today High Gear Media's proudly introducing our new commenting system. From the beginning of the comment system redesign, our goal was to make it both easier and faster to leave your take on the topic. We think both of those goals have been accomplished.

If you are already a SocialCarNews commenter, logging in wont change much. You can still use either your current user ID, or your Facebook ID.

These are just a few highlights of the new commenting system:

It's faster. It's easier, too, and logging in is a breeze.

It's social. If you login with your Facebook ID you can share your comments on Facebook and Twitter. It's a simple tickbox.

Captcha is dead! Captcha, be gone! You no longer need to be well-versed in hieroglyphics to post a comment. Hooray!

It's all threaded. Comments are now threaded, so you can hold a conversation with that other guy who thinks social media is a waste of time.

It's democracy in action. Now you can vote for the best comments.

It's customizable. You can sort the comments to fit your viewing needs: oldest, latest, or most popular.

More features are on the way, including email notifications. So give the new system a try, and send us feedback here on what you'd like to see added next.
