Cadillac continues to tell us that it wants to truly compete with BMW. The upcoming ATS is being positioned as a 3-Series competitor; meanwhile the next-gen CTS will grow to take on the BMW 5-Series with even better interior quality and materials

But is all this enough? Yesterday we learned that the upcoming Cadillac ATS is already tipping the scales and perhaps causing a rethink. The car hasn't even been launched yet and there could be reason to believe it might not live up to the standard of the 3-Series.
