Oh hai Monday. I see you've jacked up gas prices to $4 a gallon. The only way you'd be less likable is if you were twins. [TheCarConnection]

There may be some brief relief from the rise in gas prices, in the near term. [TheCarConnection]

But if you're looking for permanent relief to record-high gas prices, you might want to consider avoiding it altogether. [GreenCarReports]

Since you're spending so much money on fuel, why not pick one of these under-$20,000 cars and put the rest on a gift card? [TheCarConnection]

  1. I really like these summaries of top news across The Car Connection because they help me catch stories that I would ordinarily miss. These seemed to go away for a while but I am glad they are back.
I still find it curious as to why everyone loves the Suzuki Kizashi in your Top Five Models Under $20,000. Sure it looks nice and all(albeit nowhere near as exciting as the concepts)but my manual transmission test car felt so gutless that I had to redline the coarse sounding engine in order to get decent performance and my fuel economy was unimpressive.
I averaged 19 miles per gallon which you can take as proof that either the car isn't fuel efficient or merely proof that I drove that little Kizashi like I rented it.

    Bad stuff?

  2. I test drove an automatic 2010 Suzuki Kizashi CVT. Good road manners, took real-size bumps and squashed them in to little bump-tee-bumps. Nice handler and well-worth the $22,494 price. I may buy myself a Kizashi one day-I like the grille-work, faux-metallic and all, and the metal stripe down the side of the door for cushioning from bratty kids swinging doors at your car. Impressive job from Suzuki for the midsize department. Me likey.
