Recall Watch: 2010 Hyundai Tucson

Hyundai is recalling up to 7,829 of its 2010 Tucson crossovers due to faulty exterior lighting.

The recall states that the rear reflectors on the 2010 Hyundai Tucson do not meet Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 108. The photometry – brightness – does not reach the levels mandated in the safety code.

This could cause low visibility for the drivers behind the affected vehicles, and may result in a crash.

Starting in June 2011, dealerships will install the updated reflectors free of charge. Owners who may be affected can reach Hyundai Motor Company at 1-800-633-5151 for more details.

  1. MI Used Cars from my MI Dealers are still holding up. A lot of the Eastern car market is hitting some bad luck. First Toyota and now Hyundai. Yikes.
