25 Most EV-Ready Cities

25 Most EV-Ready Cities

Ford’s list of 25 most electric vehicle-ready cities

Here’s the full list of cities Ford identifies as the most electric-vehicle ready. Note that Ford did not rank the cities, listing them in alphabetical order:

  • Atlanta
  • Austin, Texas
  • Baltimore
  • Boston
  • Charlotte, North Carolina
  • Chicago
  • Dallas
  • Denver
  • Detroit
  • Hartford, Connecticut
  • Honolulu
  • Houston
  • Indianapolis
  • Los Angeles
  • New York
  • Orlando, Florida
  • Phoenix
  • Portland, Oregon
  • Raleigh, North Carolina
  • Richmond, Virginia
  • Sacramento, California
  • San Diego
  • San Francisco Bay Area
  • Seattle
  • Washington, D.C.

Bottom line: There’s a lot going on in numerous U.S. cities to accommodate an anticipated growing public acceptance of EVs and plug-in hybrids in the near future. With pure EVs such as the 2011 Nissan Leaf, extended-range electrics such as the 2011 Chevrolet Volt, and others to come such as the all-new 2012 Ford Focus Electric, the 2013 Ford C-MAX Hybrid and C-MAX Energi pug-in hybrid, consumers will have a wide variety of EVs and hybrids to choose from.
