Recall Watch: 2011 Chevrolet Cruze


The 2011 Chevrolet Cruze has its first recall, and it's a pretty serious one.

The recall documentation from the NHTSA states that the steering wheel on the Cruze may have been improperly fastened at the assembly plant. As a result, it may become detached from the steering column. This detachment may lead to loss of steering and an accident.

The recall affects a total of 2,100 Chevrolet Cruzes and dealerships will inspect all Cruzes for free. Any repairs are free of charge as well. Customers with questions can reach Chevrolet at 1-800-630-2438, or see the official Chevy Cruze recall documents at the NHTSA Web site.
