Driver mistakes gas for brake while attempting to park

Toyota's recent victory in an unintended acceleration lawsuit has brought the topic back into the news, and it's good news for the company; a plague of bad press over the subject has stalked it for over a year. This video shows it's often not the car--and in this case, not even a Toyota--when cars accelerate against the driver's wishes.

A parking job gone severely wrong, this crash video shows what appears to be a driver cautiously approaching an empty spot, pulling in, then mistaking the gas pedal for the brake. It's an expensive and unfortunate lesson in paying attention--even at low speed.
