If you own a Ford Raptor, you're not worried about things like the price of fuel. You just want to have the baddest truck around and now ProCharger and Whipple both offer aftermarket supercharger kits to help you get a leg up on your fellow Raptor owners.
The HO Intercooled ProCharger System for 2010-11 Ford F150 Raptor SVTs is available for both the 6.2- and 5.4-liter engines. The complete system reportedly increases output of the 6.2L to more than 600 hp, while the 5.4L 3V engine cranks out more than 500 ponies, according to ProCharger. Part of the kit, you do need to upgrade the injectors to 60 pounds/hour on the 6.2L and 39 pounds/hour on the 5.4L. The self-contained lubrication of the ProCharger means that you don't have to install additional oil lines or sump systems.
If that's not enough, you can get a ProCharger's HO Intercooler Tuner Kit that boosts pressure levels higher than the eight to nine with the stock packages. It features a handheld tuner and omits tuning and the need to replace the fuel injectors.
Whipple's system was sneak-peeked on the company's Facebook page and boasts an air-to-water intercooler, GT500 throttle body and 2.9-liter blower that take output to more than 650 hp. Will keep you updated on the Whipple version when more details come available.
Either way, with that much power, your Raptor is guaranteed to fly high and proud.
