I guess I'm not the only one who likes the look of the Ford F-150 SVT Raptor because January was the best sales month for the aggressively styled off-road racing influenced model.
Ford says that more than 900 Raptors were sold in the first month of 2011 with another 740 booked in February. So much for jewelry and candy. Finally guys have their priorities straight.
So far, Ford has sold 1,072 Raptors from the 2011 model year (both SuperCrew and SuperCab trucks) and 8,614 Raptors from the 2010 model year.
Both body styles are now powered by Ford's 6.2-liter V-8 that made its initial debut as an optional powerplant in the 2010 Raptor. This makes the truck the most powerful half-ton pickup in stock form. The engine is rated at 411 hp and 434 foot-pounds of torque. Retail pricing starts at $42,525 for the SuperCab and $45,290 for the SuperCrew.
To give you an idea of just how popular this model has become, 2010 F-150 Raptor sales were projected to have exceeded the best sales year the F-150 SVT Lightning ever had.
