You've just had a heated fight with your husband, who storms out of the house and into the family minivan. He's about to speed off. So you jump on the hood to stop him. Except he doesn't stop. That's the story one California woman has to tell today.
A Manteca, CA woman who asked not to be identified clung to the vehicle's windshield wiper and side mirror as her husband sped through city streets and freeways to Pleasanton, 40 miles away, at speeds up to 100 mph. Her husband, Christopher Michael Carroll, was arrested for the stunt. He is being charged with attempted murder.
The woman was uninjured, though the 45-degree weather and wind chill from the high-speed hood ride did induce hypothermia. She credits her survival as a miracle, saying there's a purpose that she's still alive.
