The 2011 Volkswagen Jetta SportWagen, with the same 2.0-liter TDI clean diesel engine, and in both manual and automatic transmission, achieves combined fuel economy of 30 mpg or better. With manual transmission, the numbers are 30 mpg city/42 mpg highway (34 mpg combined), while with automatic, the numbers are 29/39/33 mpg. As with the VW Jetta TDI, the Jetta SportWagen TDI carries the highest base price of $24,995. Volkswagen Golf TDI Clean Diesel

The final 2011 Volkswagen model with the 2.0-liter TDI clean diesel engine, Golf, achieves the same 30/42/34 mpg estimated EPA fuel economy. According to the EPA, this fuel economy is achieved with either six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission. The Golf is available in coupe and sedan models with the TDI clean diesel engine, with base prices of $23,225 and $23,885, respectively.
