Availability and price
The Ram 1500 Adventurer will be available only as a regular cab, short-bed model in either two-wheel drive or four-wheel drive. When properly equipped with a Class-IV trailer hitch, Adventurer will tow a maximum 9,100 pounds trailer weight.
Ram Trucks has set the manufacturer’s suggested retail price for Ram 1500 Adventurer at $23,830, which includes $975 destination charge.
The new Adventurer will begin arriving at dealerships in the second quarter of 2011.
Family Car Guide will keep you posted on any new developments in this emerging first-time truck buyer niche that Ram is exploring with Tradesman and Adventurer. Maybe this is one way to get some young family buyers interested in something other than performance cars.
As Ram Truck’s Diaz says, “This is going to be a great looking sports truck. A buyer will be able to drive off in a new HEMI-powered Ram Truck with money left over for other things like Mopar accessories. There’s nothing in the market – and that includes other trucks, as well as cars – that can compete with this truck’s blend of style, exhilarating performance, and value.”
Now they only need a dynamite name to slap on it.
