The facts are simple. A German radio station ran a contest giving away a brand-new Mini to whichever listener pulled off the craziest stunt to win.
A 39-year-old man, Andreas Muller, was declared the winner after promising to have the brand "MINI" tattooed on his penis.
But he didn't get the car until he got the ink, which was applied during a live broadcast from the tattoo parlor. Radio listeners were treated to Muller's howls of pain as four sans-serif capital letters were applied in black ink.

Tattoos on the more delicate areas of the body are less common than those on other parts of the body, for a variety of reasons covered in the *VERY NSFW* Wikipedia entry on the topic.
We found no studies addressing any correlation between such artwork and Mini Cooper purchase intent, however.
