2012 BMW 650i Convertible

2012 BMW 650i Convertible

2012 BMW 650i Convertible – It may be a mite cold for drooling over a drop-top, but fans of open-air motoring have to be excited about the redesigned 2012 BMW 650i Convertible that debuted at the 2010 Los Angeles Auto Show in December. The 400-horsepower 4.4-liter V-8 engine is a significant step up from last year’s 4.8-liter V-8 making 360 horses. Zero to 60 mph takes just 4.9 seconds with the new powerplant. Available active rear steering promises to make cornering a pleasure. Hey, for $91,375 starting price, you’d expect nothing less. See L. A. Auto Show coverage on the 650i convertible at MotorAuthority.

2012 Ford Escape – We’re dubbing it the 2012 Ford Escape, but the replacement for the current Escape may be called Vertrek or Kuga or something else. At any rate, the 2012 Vertrek Concept Ford unveiled at the 2011 Detroit Auto Show does hint strongly at the production version of the next-generation Escape. The compact crossover SUV will get its pep from the EcoBoost 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine. Read more about the Vertrek Concept here.

2012 Honda Civic Si Coupe – While we don’t have any specs available, the 2012 Honda Civic Si Coupe – as portrayed in the Civic Concept that debuted at the 2011 Detroit Auto Show -- just looks so aggressive that we have to include it on the list of hotly-anticipated new cars. After all, Civics have always been entertaining to drive, and, judging by the photos, this one looks pretty peppy. Check out more 2012 Honda Civic Concept photos in Motor Authority.
