Super all-wheel control (S-AWC) marks the 2011 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution. A combination of all-wheel control and active yaw control, S-AWC directs engine torque to outside or inside rear wheels, depending on available traction. Plus, three driver selectable modes allow S-AWC to adapt to varying winter or other road conditions. Lancer Evolution’s 291-horsepower turbocharged and intercooled 2.4-liter in-line four-cylinder engine mates with either a five-speed manual (GSR model) or six-speed twin clutch-sportronic shift transmission (TC-SST) in the MR model. Heated leather seats are part of the sunroof & leather package (GSR), while heated seats and door mirrors and automatic rain-sensing wipers are included in the touring package on MR. Active stability control and seven standard airbags add to the 2011 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution’s safety and security on wintry road surfaces.

In The Car Connection, editors give the 2011 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution an 8.0 for safety and features and a 9.0 rating for performance.  Also see Motor Authority's review of the '11 Mitsu Lancer Evo.

  1. Might as well thrown in the Lambo since it has AWD. An Mitsu Evo COMES WITH SUMMER ONLY TIRES! HOW IS THAT A "Family Winter Sedan"???
You think the Legacy or Kizashi AWD since they share the same AWD computer system that can lock up all three diffs and Suzuki pairs the Kizashi with Dumlop SP7000 tires next to Legacy's XT Rated treads.
Seriously the Evo for Winter? Can I get some of what your smoking? Could use to loose a few cells...
