Jingle Bells In The Key Of Smart ForTwo

It’s that time of year again and music is in the air. Well, something’s in the air and Smart decided it should be its rendition of Jingle Bells.

Played in the tune of ForTwo, this version of Jingle Bells was created (almost) entirely with sounds from actual Smart Fortwo minicars. Kitchy? Yes somewhat. Creative, definitely. We will say, while not the best we've heard, we'll give points for effort.

The video starts out ridiculously slow, but after about twenty seconds of painful waiting you’re rewarded with the tapping of fingers along with the opening and closing of a rear tailgate. The end implies the Smart ForTwo is surprisingly entertaining.

We will give extra bonus points for the end, which also has a URL to Smart’s UK Facebook fan page. At least it’s cross promoting different social channels. Speaking of promotion, Smart’s sales in the U.S. are nowhere near what the company had originally hoped for when it launched its minicars on the market back in 2008. Let’s hope that a little holiday cheer goes some way towards helping turn things around.
