Automaker Nissan, lifting the veil on its all-new four-seat crossover convertible, the 2011 Murano Cross
Cabriolet, just ahead of the L.A. Auto Show, is sure to generate a bit of buzz among showgoers – and consumers across the country.
While the official world debut isn’t until Nov. 17, Nissan released this teaser photo Sunday afternoon. The automaker touts the midsize Murano CrossCabriolet as the “world’s first all-wheel drive crossover convertible,” featuring room for four adults along with space for assorted gear such as golf clubs or luggage. Here at Family Car Guide, we think that qualifies the new Murano CrossCabriolet as a family vehicle.
Imagine cruising down Pacific Coast Highway with the kids enroute to a favorite beach spot or tooling off to the golf course for 18 holes with some friends. The Murano CrossCabriolet certainly appears to embody a good execution of style and functionality. Open-air driving combined with the versatility of a crossover? It’s all in the execution, of course, so we’ll have to wait for more details and a closer look to weigh in further.
Still, it’s an interesting way to add excitement to other new products coming out of Nissan besides the all-new 100 percent all-electric Nissan Leaf. Expect the 2011 Nissan Murano CrossCabriolet in dealerships in early 2011.
