Performance and Fuel Economy
Performance for the 2011 Infiniti G Coupe stems from the 3.7-liter V-6 engine with variable valve event and lift (VVEL) technology rated at 330 horsepower and 270 pound-feet of torque. The VVEL system helps improve performance and response by combining hydraulic-controlled variable valve timing and electronically controlled variable valve lift on the intake side. EPA-estimated fuel economy is 19 mpg city/27 mpg highway (G37 and G37 Journey), 17 mpg city/25 mpg highway (Sport 6MT), and 18 mpg city/25 mpg highway (G37x AWD).
The engine is backed by a choice of a lightweight six-speed manual transmission or electronically controlled seven-speed automatic transmission with manual mode, downshift rev matching, drive sport mode and adaptive shift control, and available solid magnesium paddle shifters. Speed-sensitive steering and vehicle dynamic control are standard on all 2011 Infiniti G37 Coupes.
Standard four-wheel vented discs with four-channel, four-sensor anti-lock braking system (ABS), electronic brakeforce distribution and brake assist provide braking performance.
The sport package (available on G37 Coupe Journey and G37x Coupe AWD models and standard on G37 Coupe Sport 6MT) includes 19-inch wheels and high-performance tires, viscous limited-slip differential, sport-tuned suspension, sport brakes, unique front fascia, sport-styled seats and steering wheel stitching, aluminum pedals and paddle shifters (automatic transmission models only).
Technology and convenience features in the 2011 G Coupe and include such items as standard Infiniti intelligent key with push button ignition, remote keyless entry, tilt/telescoping steering column with increased travel, illuminated glove compartment and automatic temperature control.
