Upon arriving at the show today we immediately walked past this large sign promoting SEMA's new mobile eGuide site. Instead of building applications for different smartphone platforms, SEMA decided to build a mobile site that would work on most smartphones, regardless of the operating system.
The mobile site has a simple yet effective layout, making navigating the mobile website easy while walking the show floor. The site can be viewed in English along with Spanish and French.
SEMA's mobile site has eight main categories. The sign at the show only promotes five of the features, which are listed below:
- Breaking SEMA Show news
- Browse exhibitors
- Check education days, keynote special event schedules
- Keep up on celebrity appearances
- Look up the press conference schedule
If you are at the SEMA show and are using the mobile eGuide website, be sure to let us know what you think of the user experience in the comments below.
