NASCAR Driver Carl Edwards Auctions Memorabilia for Charity

Roush Fenway Racing driver Carl Edwards is selling off some of his personal racing memorabilia to support a charity that supports orphans in countries including Mexico, Nigeria and India.

The auction is being held on November 15th, by Copart, a leading online auction company.

Interested fans and collectors can check in and place bids, or just dream about placing bids.  Items to be auctioned include Edwards' used fire suit, an autographed pit crew uniform, a hood off the No. 60 Copart Ford that Carl Edwards raced in Nashville this season and a Harley-Davidson that won at the Nationwide Road America track in June 2010.  


There's no word on whether Edwards and Copart are putting on the auction block the original photo of his beefcake six-pack torso on a recent cover of ESPN magazine. 

Copart also is sponsoring a sweepstakes with a chance to win one of 500 die cast cars modeled afrer the No. 60 Copart Ford that Edwards drives in the NASCAR Nationwide Series.

Auction proceeds will benefit the Back2Back Ministries non-profit organizaiton.
