2011 Toyota 4Runner -- 6 days of inventory

Toyota's more hard-core off-road SUV, on the other hand, has been with us for a year in its current form.  Redesigned for 2010, the 4Runner is capable of serious off-road driving, but doesn't drive like a truck when it's on the asphalt, thanks to responsive steering.  According to TrueCar.com, a small number of 2011 4Runners are now on the market.  And how do they differ from the 2010 models they'll replace over the next few months?  Well, there are a few new shades of paint offered.  That appears to be the entire list of changes.  So if a dealership tries to interest you in the 2011 4Runner, tell them you want a 2010 -- there are plenty of those, and prices are still flexible.

Honda's little sport 'utility is now the runaway success in the cute 'ute category -- though most of these have grown so large that it's hard to call them that anymore.  It can claim outstanding safety scores, low cost-of-ownership and great fuel economy for such a tall vehicle.  But its very popularity makes it hard to afford, thanks to good old supply-and-demand.  You won't save yourself by asking for the 2010 model, either -- Honda currently has only 26 days' worth of those.
