Craigslist 2002 Ford Ranger
With the death of the new Ford Ranger imminent, finding a good, clean used example might be getting a little tough. Especially for seekers of the collector editions, like the Splash.
Even if you want that singular Ranger, the one no one else has, do not be duped into believing there ever was a Ranger convertible. And if you're looking for a lightly used truck, don't look here.
This week's Craigslist #FAIL is brought to you from the great state of Georgia, where we found this 2002 Ranger with nicely underplayed text: "CLEAN TITLE V6, 4.0L 82K Auto trans, Cold A/C Runs & drive, tree damages."
Those last two words are pretty important. In the interests of shoppers everywhere, we've confirmed there never was a Ranger drop-top (or no-top).
Our High Gear Media team of experts has some advice for the seller and any possible buyer:
Nelson: "Custom Ford Ranger Convertible, Enjoy the last few weeks of summer!"
Bengt: Based on the bow of the thing, it might only last the last few weeks of summer.
Tim: Weeks? More like days.
Trust us: this is one situation where Carfax can't help you.
