Chrysler has announced a new package to the Ram truck, formerly known as the Dodge Ram--the Laramie Longhorn.
The Ram Laramie Longhorn edition will be available on 2011 Ram 1500, 2500 and 3500 models and is billed by Chrysler as the “most luxurious Ram Truck ever produced by the company.”
In the press release, Fred Diaz, President and CEO – Ram Truck Brand, Chrysler Group LLC, said, “The Ram Laramie Longhorn edition is going to share a driveway with some fine luxury cars. The only difference is the Ram Laramie Longhorn edition is going to be the vehicle with the fulltime job – towing the horse trailer, taking the crew to the game, picking up supplies. It’s ready to go from the dirt to downtown.”
The 2011 Ram Laramie Longhorn edition had its debut at the State Fair of Texas, an appropriate setting for a vehicle carrying Western-infused badging. The seats, center console, doors and tailgate are all bestowed with a special Ram Laramie Longhorn edition hallmark.
Ram Laramie Longhorn editions will be available in five colors; Bright White, Brilliant Black Crystal Pearl, Rugged Brown Pearl, Deep Cherry Red Crystal Pearl and the exclusive Sagebrush with White Gold, which is not available on any other Ram model. Ram 1500 Laramie Longhorn will be equipped with 20-inch wheels and 3500 models will be available with single or dual rear-wheels.
The interior of Laramie Longhorn is wrapped in leather and accented in burled walnut woodgrain. Interiors can be had in dark slate gray and russet or bark brown and light pebble beige colors. Each interior color brings a unique seating option. Dark slate gray interiors features a russet-hued leather. The light pebble beige incorporates southwestern-influenced leather seating and accents.
“Ram Truck owners and dealers tell us they love everything about the new Ram 1500, 2500 and 3500,” said Fred Diaz in the press release. “With so many great features, we weren’t surprised to see our most well-equipped model – Ram Laramie – making up 25 percent of our sales. There’s a healthy market for luxury pickup trucks and Ram Laramie Longhorn edition hits the mark.”
The new Ram Laramie Longhorn editions will go on sale in early 2011, prices have yet to be announced.
