The car that started Buick on its way to a newer, younger image, the LaCrosse is a serious rival to the Lexus LS. It offers a smooth ride, exceptionally luxurious accomodations, and a sense of style the Lexus is lacking, thanks to ice blue accent lighting and similar designer touches. But the LaCrosse has proven popular enough that dealers aren't flexing much in negotiations -- though odds might get a little better when the upcoming Regal starts to draw attention away from the LaCrosse in showrooms.
2010 Ford EdgeEnlarge Photo
This one we can't make much sense out of. The 2010 Edge is a nice family ride, with comfortable handling, decent acceleration, plenty of space and Ford's outstanding SYNC infotainment system. But there is a new, 2011 version coming, which should drive down the price of 2010s. TrueCar's numbers show that Ford dealers aren't coming down much on price with the Edge, but we think they will as the 2011s arrive.

This one, on the other hand, makes perfect sense. Convertibles are most expensive in the summer. When you want one. Badly. And if you've seen one of these, you want it. The G37 has the most attractive lines of any hardtop convertible on the market, and unlike most, its dynamics don't completely fall apart when you drive with the top down. But if you want one badly, try to talk yourself into waiting -- most ragtops get somewhat cheaper in the colder months.
