The Specialty Equipment Marketing Association's (SEMA) annual show in Las Vegas is known for producing some wild concepts, but few of them make it anywhere near production. The Tacoma T|X and T|X Pro accessory packages are an exception to that rule.
Unveiled today, the packages are available only on a limited basis. The T|X package includes 16-inch black alloy bead-lock wheels paired with BF Goodrich Rugged Trail tires. Black tube side steps, stainless exhaust tip, and custom exterior graphics round out the $1,699 package. Toyota says that saves $754 over picking each of these features individually.
The T|X Pro package goes further with the performance upgrades, adding a TRD cat-back exhaust, a 28-millimeter front anti-roll bar, specially-tuned Bilstein shocks, progressive rate front springs, an electronic locking rear differential and fog lamps. It's also priced at $1,699, a savings of $720 over the price of each option on its own.
Both of the T|X packages feature the TRD Off Road package underneath,
The 2011 Tacoma T|X Pro package will launch before the end of July, and the T|X package will be available in September.
