2011 Kia Sportage: Live Drive

Follow Marty

San Francisco is one of the best places on earth to drive a new vehicle. Great roads circle the city, perfect photo locations crop up at almost every turn. And you don't have to have a sportscar to have a great drive in and out of town.

Today, High Gear Media is driving the 2011 Kia Sportage for the first time. We're really truly sorry that we couldn't bring you along for the ride--but we'll do the next best thing, thanks to Twitter.

All day long, from press conference to the final turn back into the hotel parking garage, we'll be telling you what we think of the new Kia crossover, in Tweets and Twitpics from the driving route. You can follow it with thousands of other followers @CarConnection--or you can just bookmark this page and check in throughout the day, as we use the magic of the Interwebs to capture all those Tweets into a single module (kudos and snaps, CoverItLive).

The driving kicks off at 9 a.m., Pacific time. While you're busy getting psyched, you can catch up on our preview of the 2011 Kia Sportage--then sign up to write about cars for a chance to win a Microsoft Zune 16GB media player, courtesy of Kia. Write early, and write often--we'll be choosing a winner from all published entries submitted by August 1.

Keep your browsers pointed here--and come back later this week for our full review of the 2011 Sportage.

  1. I just bought a black, 2011 Kia Sportage today with the option package that includes: panoramic sunroof, cooled/heated front seats, Audi LED head lights, push button start, cooled glove box, leather, and 18 inch wheels. I test drove it 5 times over the last 3 days along with every other brand of comparable SUV. After test driving the others, my thoughts always returned to the Sportage. It is truly amazing that I got this value for the dollars I paid. Any other brand with the same features would have been $8K more and not look nearly as cool. WAY TO GO KIA!
