Uniroyal Tire’s latest E-Book actually has to do with tires. There are ten available on topics as diverse as financial security and health and beauty tips. The most recent, Mommy’s Guide to Cars and Tires, is worth the free download and read.

The publication is part of Uniroyal’s More Mileage For Your Money community. It is an online place that offers consumers ways to maximize their expenditures in a number of areas.

The E-Book is available at Uniroyal Tires and covers car safety for all members of the family from those riding in car seat to those who use cell phones. If you want to learn about tires at your own pace you can find up to date information about the types of tires, their proper maintenance and how to read a sidewall.

The Tire Maintenance 101 chapter cites some interesting and quite telling statistics like: the average down time due to a highway flat is 3 to 4 hours and a 10 percent under inflation rate translates into a 16 percent loss in the tread life of your tires. More importantly it walks the reader through a tire inspection process and points out those conditions that merit professional attention.

The E-Book also focuses on other aspects of your car experience by offering general maintenance tips, suggestions about cleaning and detailing your vehicle and information that can save you money when you buy fuel.

If you have wondered how you would react if you ever experienced a tire blowout or a catastrophic brake failure, this little book isn’t going to answer that for you. It will, however, lay out some great tips about how to respond in a way that will safely keep your car on the road. What to do when you get stuck in the snow is also considered.

Mommy’s Guide to Cars and Tires is not a blatant advertising vehicle for Uniroyal tires and is written with attention paid to the prevailing and accurate information about its topics. The publishers have performed a service by educating the driving public through its pages. It deserves a wider readership than just Mommies.
