I often scroll through the inner depths of Youtube from time time, looking for hidden automotive gems. One thing I stumble across quite often are foreign car commercials that are rarely, if ever, seen by the U.S. consumer.
There is a Ford Focus commercial for the Mexican market which does not try and sell you a deal or low interest rate, but the car itself. It is made to look fun to drive, and the commercial accomplishes just that. Something U.S car commercials sometimes lack.
Car commercials in the U.S. seem to stretch the value of the dollar and not the value of the car. If automakers began making commercials like the one below, it would show that American cars are not just the value buy anymore, with cheap interiors and unreliable drivetrains, but great driving machines.
