2009 Ferrari California
They do tell you which vehicles have been updated most recently, what safety features are standard or optional, and the photos let you decide if you like the look of them or not. But that's only the start--you need to see if you can live with the car yourself, and a test drive is the best way to get a taste for that. It's also a good investment to go to your local car rental place and rent something you're seriously considering for a few days. Drive it to work, go and buy groceries, take your dog for a walk. Install your child safety seat in the back. See if it fits in your garage properly.
And don't be afraid to buy what you like best. This is a major investment, and one which you should expect to live with for years. Make sure the service department will take good care of you, whether you're in for scheduled maintenance or warranty repairs. The salesman should be willing to help you out if you get stuck, whether or not he sends you a birthday card every year. Your neighbor's opinion is worth nothing if you need a car wash on your way to an appointment.
