At the 2008 Chicago Auto Show, the Ford Transit Connect was revealed, a truly revolutionary automobile for the North American market. The Transit Connect brings a contemporary van to North America, something that it hasn’t seen in its history. And despite the fact that the van is compact and designed to drive in an urban environment, the amount of cargo space in it is simply unreal.

The list of great features doesn’t stop with size and cargo room. One of the greatest perks that the van has to offer is its great fuel economy. Boasting an impressive 24 mpg on the highway, most reviews have been very supportive of the incredible vehicle. Reviews aren’t the only ones giving the Transit Connect the thumbs up. The vehicle also won the Truck of the Year Award at this year’s Detroit Auto Show.

Each year an award is given to the best car and truck in North America at the Detroit event. At this year’s event Jim Mateja, of the Chicago Tribune, said: “A U-Haul that fits in your garage. Holds people and so much of their stuff--bikes, snowmobiles, lawn mowers, skis, tents, boats, ladders, furniture, you name it. Defines multi-purpose and boasts a reasonable price even when you add side and rear windows and back seat.” It’s obvious that the Transit Connect is the future of vans in North America with its incredible features that it is bringing to the market.

And lastly, the price that goes along with the vehicle isn’t just affordable, it’s flat out incredible. Getting your hands on a versatile vehicle like this for approximately $21,185, and affordable auto insurance premiums, is something that business owners aren’t going to pass up.
