Video: Revised Stability Control on 2010 Lexus GX 460

A few days after announcing a recall on its  2010 Lexus GX 460 models for a stability-control system problem that could lead to rollovers, the company now is showing its revised stability control.

Toyota says that when components from the right-hand drive GX 460s were shifted to the other side of the vehicle for left-hand drive models, it created an unbalanced condition that led to understeer. Under testing by Consumer Reports, the GX 460's stability control was slow to engage, which could make it easier for the SUV to rollover.

Lexus now says the stability control is revised, and here is a video comparing a GX 460 with the old stability control system and one with the revised system:
