Man, I love Jeep trucks! One of the member Jeep junkies over at the Jeep Forum recently showcased two totally sweet Jeep pickup conversions, one based on the recent TJ Wrangler and another based on the venerable Jeep CJ.

Jeep Forum member Jeff Scherb recently posted on his disdain for the “inverted bathtub” design of some Jeep hardtops, with specific reference to the hardtops for the 2004-2006 TJ-L (or LJ) Wrangler (long-wheelbase model). He expressed his intentions to build from scratch a hardtop design he called the “Safari Top.”

To demonstrate to other forum members he was serious about his intentions to build a hardtop, Mr. Scherb showed off some photos of a bright red “Retro Wrangler” TJ pickup conversion he had built, and also a Jeep CJ-based “Gaucho” pickup conversion. Both trucks had very well integrated custom hardtops fabricated by Scherb.

Head on over to the Jeep Forum and check out these awesome Jeep pickup conversions.
