We've been on a Mustang roll: earlier this week, TheCarConnection brought you Vanilla Ice's take on the new Mustang 5.0, and on Monday we drove V-6 and V-8 Mustangs, coupes and convertibles.
That's on top of the huge pile of Mustang stuff from all the outposts of High Gear Media's empire of car Web sites--everything from NASCAR Auto Guide's guide to the 2011 Mustang, to MustangBlog's day-to-day news on the new musclecar, to Motor Authority's previews on all flavors of the new 'Stang.
You know by now that the Mustang's new 5.0-liter V-8 turns in 412 horsepower, and gets up to 26 mpg on the highway. Impressive, but maybe you're also interested in the V-6 car's 31-mpg EPA highway rating? Add in structural improvements, a rack of special versions (from Mustang Club cars to California packages), and there's practically a version for anyone interested in a semi-custom version of their own.
Alas, we can't tell you the final, crucial bit just yet. We're still a few days away from bringing you our first drive of the 2011 Mustang--that comes Monday morning at 12:01 a.m.--so we'll stop there before we spill it all.
We did spend some quality lens time with a GT Convertible, though. And that, we're free to show off.
Here's a taste of what we saw with the new Mustang. Come back on Monday and we'll tell you how all the versions hit the road--and which new Mustang's our favorite.
