The automotive landscape is growing more technologically complex by the day, and it appears pickup trucks won’t buck the trend.

Truck Trend recently published a report that the next generation Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra, both due in the 2012 timeframe, will incorporate more tech goodies than the present full-size offerings from GM. Truck Trend speculated that the two heavyweights from GM will likely offer or have as standard features such as adaptive cruise control, Bluetooth, and a flexible electronics system.

The current generation of GM full-size pickups aren’t completely devoid of tech features, of course. Truck Trend noted that Bluetooth is available now as an optional feature for some, but not all, Silverado and Sierra 1500 models.

Stay tuned to AllPickupTrucks.com as we keep you posted on all the latest buzz on GM’s next generation of full-size pickups.
