Video Exclusive: Hyundai Sonata Saves Teens From Their Wild Side

Follow Nelson

No parent needs reminding (or details) about their teen or young adult childrens' wild side. If anything, it's something many would like to avoid thinking about. But when it comes to safety, it's something worth addressing--particularly behind the wheel. That's the message behind Hyundai's latest TV spot, unseen anywhere outside Hyundai except right here at TheCarConnection.

The video shows an adventure-seeking young woman being slung through the air with the aid of an ATV, some massive bungee cords and a pair of giant uprights--a human slingshot--to drive the point home. Hyundai then steps in with details on the 2011 Hyundai Sonata's impressive list of standard safety features.

For the full details on the 2011 Hyundai Sonata, check out our preview Bottom Line, and be sure to check back Monday when we bring you the first drive impressions of the new midsize sedan fresh from the rolling roads of southern California.

  1. I like how the Hyundai Sonata is becoming a "cool" car, you would think that spot belongs to the Elantra or Genesis
