Though most of the advertising chatter these days is centered on the Superbowl, Lincoln has focused its marketing muscle on a different high-profile event: the Grammy Awards. This Sunday's ceremony will feature ads for the 2010 Lincoln MKZ, MKT, and MKS, backed by tracks from musicians like Sia and hipster faves CSS. What's more: those songs are available as free MP3 downloads at Lincoln.com/music.

It's pretty obvious that Lincoln is using these ads to draw younger buyers to the brand. And although the styling on the MKZ, MKT, and MKS isn't a perfect match for the aging Gen Xers in Lincoln's sights, the backing tracks -- all remakes of popular songs from the 1980s -- are spot on. We feel obligated to point out, however, that the Shiny Toy Guns' cover of "Burnin' for You" might be enough to bring Blue Oyster Cult out of semi-retirement and into a court of law.
