Today In Apps: Honeywell's Sponsored Version Of 'GasCubby'

December 28, 2009

There are so many free apps available on iTunes that iPhone/iPod Touch users can be averse to paying for them. No doubt that's inhibited the growth of AppCubby's handy-dandy GasCubby application, which keeps track of mileage and car maintenance at a cost of $6.99. However, consumer products conglomerate Honeywell is now offering a sponsored version of the software -- and by "sponsored", we mean "free, but with ads". That seems like a great deal for drivers (and we're guessing AppCubby's pretty happy, too). [TheUnofficialAppleWeblog]
