The 2010 Honda Accord Crosstour is due for its 'sneak preview' unveiling tomorrow, September 1, but today the company has released a fourth teaser image via its Facebook fan page, this time revealing a close-up shot of the crossover/wagon's wheel.
The previous three teasers have highlighted the rear C-pillar, grille, and headlight areas.
Announced as officially under development back in July, Honda has been slowly teasing out the new car, spending a lot of time growing its social media presence for the new-to-Honda Accord body style.
Toyota has had the Venza, a similar crossover-wagon hybrid design, on the market for about a year now, leaving Honda a bit late to the party. With the same range of powertrains found in the Accord and a possible 2.3-liter turbocharged engine borrowed from the Acura RDX in the pipeline, the Crosstour should be a largely familiar experience, despite the new body shape.
Acura recently unveiled its own take on the crossover/car mashup with the BMW X6-like ZDX four-door coupe. Honda's more 'tall wagon'-like Crosstour appears to be targeting the more family-oriented side of the market, leaving Acura to go after the performance buyer.
Pricing and official information may be released with the sneak preview tomorrow, and you can count on TheCarConnection to bring you the full details and driving impressions when we get behind the wheel later this year.
