Kelley Blue Book Names "Top 10 Back-to-school Cars"

I was never one of those lucky kids that rode around the high school parking lot in a new car. When I was lucky enough to drive I was rolling in my grandparents' 1980 Pontiac Grand Prix. It was the best car I ever owned.

But some parent somewhere is buying their child a new car for the school year. Kelley Blue Book has listed what they believe are the best vehicles for such a task. 

Can you guess at least 5 of the 10 on the list? There are 5 new cars ($20,000 CAD limit) and 5 used vehicles ($13,300 CAD limit). 


  • Honda Fit
  • Ford Focus
  • Kia Soul
  • Mazda3
  • Nissan Cube
  • Honda Civic (2006)
  • Scion xB (2005)
  • Suzuki SX4 (2007)
  • Ford Escape (2005)
  • Chevrolet Silverado (2005)
I'd drop the Chevrolet Silverado (what kid can afford the gas?) and replace it with a Subaru Impreza for those kids who can't afford to miss any school during the winter. Hmm...that's a catch 22.
