When a standard four-cylinder, four-door sedan won't do for your next out-of-town car trip, Hertz has a better idea: rent a Mercedes-Benz instead.
Luxury car rentals are mostly a niche market, but the nation's biggest rental car company has a Prestige Collection that includes everything from Audis, to Cadillacs, to Lincolns. Now it's adding the three-pointed star to its lineup with rental availability of 2009 C-Class sedans and 2010 Mercedes-Benz GLK-Class sport-utes.
All Hertz C-Class four-doors come with Bluetooth, a power sunroof and the COMAND controller for audio and phone controls. The Benz GLK350 utes provided by Hertz come outfitted with running boards, skid plates and a roof rack--in case you want to take the daily insurance to its limits along with the car's tires.
Prestige rentals are available in almost 50 places in the U.S., and 25 places outside our borders. More details on the program are found over at the Hertz Web site.
