Hyundai will present a concept called the Nuvis HCD-11 at next week's New York Auto Show. It's meant to provide a glimpse at a new crossover the South Korean company has in its product pipeline.

Styling was done by Hyundai's studio in California, ensuring this is a distinctly American-flavored concept for the land of the utility vehicle. Today Hyundai released a sketch, pictured here.

The intent of the vehicle, says Hyundai, is to blend "a tall urban car and a premium utility vehicle," and it looks to us like the newest member of the BMW X6/Acura ZDX four-door coupe/crossover community though it's not billed as such. The Nuvis' profile plays well with its sleek, swept, modern lines.

Seating for four and gullwing-type doors are not confirmed, but rather rumors circulating around the interwebs.

Stay tuned as we bring you more details from New York.

  1. "Hyundai is going to take over the world"

I'm telling you and I've been saying this for years, Hyundai will take over the world. Their products just keep getting better and better.
Watch and wait. Every car company will be copying Hyundai in ten years.
