Acura has been hinting about an SUV/crossover along the lines of BMW's Sports Activity Coupe, the four-door X6. You know, long, tall, big on the outside, and small within.
A lack of visible rear door handles suggests the coupe theme (perhaps suicide doors; more probably a handle concealed in the C-pillar). Front headlights appear, from above, similar to the Infiniti FX's "bionic Cheetah" design language. From head-on, the vehicle appears very low to the ground, bringing it safely out of SUV territory and solidly into the crossover realm. We doctored the second head-on image here in hopes of providing a few more surface details.
We know little about the images here, but believe the vehicle will be billed as some type of new Acura crossover vehicle and will likely be shown first at the New York Auto Show in April.
Stay tuned for more details as we get them.
