Kia's Soul Sister, MPV Concept 'No 3' At Geneva Motor Show

February 24, 2009

Kia will display a small MPV concept, the "No 3 Concept Car," at the Geneva Motor Show which kicks off March 3. They told us little about the handsome 13.2-foot, matt Titanium Gray vehicle with contrasting gloss-white accents, but to serve Europe's obsession with low-emissions and high frugality, we expect a suite of tiny fours, stop/start tech, and perhaps even a gas/electric hybrid or a diesel cribbed from sister Hyundai.

Kia points out the concept's "unique extended windscreen and pano-rama glass roof with a diagonal supporting bar." This little Soul sibling appears more swept and less chunky, and the aforementioned glass roof (and the seats revealed inside) are positively elegant.

They claim the grille, headlamps, and brand logo represent the new "face of Kia," and at first blush it appears they picked a nice one. Neither too cute (Toyota iQ) nor too aggressive (the Acura maw), it strikes us as a harmonious, attractive, and interesting shape.
