There's nothing worse for your schedule than getting stopped for a traffic ticket. So frustrating! And how embarrassing to have your kids watch you try to plead your way out of it. You know you can't make up a lie for why you were speeding, or what might have caused you to rush through that stop sign. After all, we must set a good example, right? Ugh.

I'm not sure how many families are driving a HUMMER H2. I'm suspecting that it's a less-likely family vehicle. Thank goodness for us, because it's at the top of the list for attracting traffic tickets.

ICO Quality Planning, the smart people who analyze all kinds of data, have compiled a list of the 10 most ticketed vehicles. This article is courtesy of Yahoo! ICO Quality Planning takes all this data, crunches out lists like this, and advises the insurance industry on the level of risk they assume by insuring each make and model of vehicle.

Families don't have much to worry about on the list. Most of the cars in the top ten are luxury performance cars that most families forgo. Scion fans (and our friends over at AllSmallCars.com) might want to take a peek, since all three Scions make the list.

It does look like I have something to worry about, personally. The list includes the Toyota Matrix, the cousin to my beloved 2003 Pontiac Vibe GT. The article doesn't seem to shed any light on why, but I can completely understand the speeding part. Without admitting to anything, of course.
